What is your pickleball mentality going into a game?

I really like what @PickleballPhil said here

Because when I get into tournament matches I don’t have to focus SO much mental energy on playing because I can let the muscle memory and trained intuition take over. After trying to remove all of that from the table I focus on two big things that I wrote on my paddle:

  1. Just as @asktiffnow said: “take deep breaths.” It’s crazy what a deep breath can do in the heat of a battle. Calms the nerves and settles the mind.

  2. This comes next and has seriously helped set the tone of my play for the last little while. It says “BQDH”. It’s short for the John Wooden quote"
    “Be Quick BUT Don’t Hurry”
